NEWSDoctor Admits He Gave Michael Jackson Propofol

As police continue to investigate Michael Jackson's death, TMZ reports that the reason they believe his personal physician Dr. Conrad Murray gave him the powerful anesthetic that may have contributed to his death is because he admitted he had done so.TMZ cites "multiple law enforcement sources" who say Dr. Murray confessed two days after MJ died that he had administered Propofol only hours before the King of Pop died. via an IV drip. Police surmise that Dr. Murray just might not have been paying attention, and even might have fallen asleep, while the drug was being administered.

An IV drip of the powerful drug should be accompanied by an EKG to monitor the patient's pulse, which will alert others if the patient's pulse drops. There was reportedly no EKG in the house, nor a device called a pulse oximeter which measures oxygen saturation levels.
