Family and friends of actress Farrah Fawcett gathered Tuesday afternoon at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in L.A. for a private funeral to celebrate and honor the star, who lost her battle with cancer last week at the age of 62.
Actor Ryan O’Neal, Farrah’s long-time love and father of her son Redmond O’Neal, was on hand for the ceremony and acted as a pallbearer as the TV star’s casket was moved out of the church.
Also on hand for the funeral mass was Farrah’s closest friend, Alana Stewart and her Charlie’s Angels co-star Kate Jackson. Fawcett’s son Redmond, who is currently in police custody on drug charges, was given special permission by a judge to attend the funeral, where he was slated to give the first reading.
