File under the Sad-But-True category — OK! can confirm that Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo did indeed break up on the eve of her 29th birthday.
“Things just weren’t working out anymore,” a friend of the Dukes of Hazzard beauty tells OK!. “It’s really sad for her.”
As reported last week, Jess had been planning a Barbie-themed birthday bash, but obviously those plans never came off and Tony, being Mr. Sensitive, went out with a dozen or so of his pals instead to L.A. hot spot MyHouse.
Tony and Jess had been together since November 2007 and have spent the last several months denying rumors of a split.

I totally agree! Now that both Nick and Jess are single - ironically at the same time, it’s time to get their life together BACK together. I never saw them being happy with anyone outside of them being together. I bet Nick is overjoyed and standing by waiting for his Princess once again!

You don’t have to be jealous of someone to not like them. I never thought that Tony and Jess were a good match. He deserves someone more grounded and less needy and ditzy. I don’t think she really knows who she is only who she wants to be. She is trying so hard to be successful in show business and she just isn’t cut out for it. I just can’t stomach her phoniness and I am not jealous of her. I am very happy with who I am.

Kris, If you haven’t forgotten, she had that exact guy that you described and she threw him away. Nick loved and respected her for who she was and waited for her for years. But she let that go and did not want it. I am a firm believer in people reaping what they sow.

Neither person is a bad person. Sometimes it just doesn’t work anymore. Neither persons fault. I wish the both of them the very best. I hope that Jessica finds her “Sunday” and I hope Tony gets his Superbowl ring. Everyone deserves to be happy.

I can’t believe I am saything this- but I am actually starting to feel sorry for her. She is drop dead sexy- with her huge boobs and pretty face- but this girl just can’t see to catch a break. She could really have any man she wanted- but I think that there is something unseen to the eye of the public that is causing these men to dump her like this. There is something that she is doing wronge.
