Orlando BloomOrlando Bloom has allegedly turned down a role in the fourth installment of The Pirates of The Caribbean franchise, perhaps to spend more time with his Victoria’s Secret supermodel girlfriend, Miranda Kerr.

“There is no script for Pirates 4,” Orlando’s rep tells OK!

But then again, the fourth Pirates is known to be currently in development and Johnny Depp signed on last year. Keira Knightley has also said she’s not interested in reprising her character.

Come on Orlando, even Johnny’s doing it!

i fail to understand why these actors would not reprise a role that helped make them the success they are. what else is orlando or keira doing?? give me a break!! same as katherine heigle, biting the hand that feeds them! how utterly disrespectful!!

omg how can they not be in it?! it will not be the same.. and they will be responsible for letting down all the fans! They’re not doing anything else in their careers right now?! They’re dumb..

I don’t think it’s Orlando who doesn’t want to reprise the role. It’s probably some set up from the prods. They want to see how the fans will respond to it. “Money talks”-thing. That’s why they are promoting Depp/Sparrow that much now. So, it won’t be OB who is turning fans down. He never does. Maybe he also doesn’t want to ruin the great character if the script would be as bad as it was in the 3rd movie. Will in all 3 movies is my favorite. I want him back.
If Will/Orlando won’t be in a 4th - I’m not watching it, neither I’m bying the DVD. No interest.

I don’t blame Orlando Bloom or Kiera Knightly for not continuing with the series, those movies went seriously downhill after the first one. It is because it isn’t about making films that stand the test of time, that are always just as good every time you watch them, it’s all about money. Once a franchise is built from one good movie, every following movie can be a piece of crap and they will still make bank. I’m just surprised that Johnny Depp is still attached to it. I suppose it’s because he’s got two kids and he wants to be able to show them some of his work, and somehow I just don’t think Blow would cut it.
