Poor Robert Pattinson. Along with the great misfortune of being blessed with an extremely handsome face comes the great burden of dealing with utterly — and perhaps overly — devoted fans.
When R-Pattz first arrived in NYC in early June to start filming Remember Me, he planned to work hard at his craft by day and then seamlessly slink into the city’s nightlife without hassle. But low-key Rob didn’t count on his skyrocketing superstar status, or being followed at every turn by both fans and photographers. Insiders say the mounting pressures of fame are taking their toll on the sensitive screen vampire.
“It’s crazytown,” a source on the set tells OK!. “There are all these girls with a lot of hormones and a lot of time on their hands.”
Some of them leave their phone numbers on Rob’s car and trailer, like one that read, “I think we’re meant to be together. Call me.”
Still, the polite Brit is trying to be gracious to his fans.
“Rob’s a nice guy — he doesn’t want to disappoint people,” the security detailer says. “He stops to say hello when he can, but he just can’t do it a lot. People bring him gifts, but we can’t take them — we don’t know where they’ve come from.”
In a move to shield their leading man from the cameras and curiosity seekers, the Remember Me crew has stuck Rob in a box, constructing a 7-foot-high enclosure from material screens, where the actor retreats between takes. Not that the fan frenzy dies down when the day’s filming is done.
“I worked on Gossip Girl with guys like Penn Badgely,” says the on-set source. “We’d go out after work and play beer pong. Nobody would bother them. There’s no way Rob can do that. He’d be mobbed.”
Perhaps those who envy his devastating good looks and fame might heed this insider’s five simple — and sad — words to OK!: “I feel bad for him.”

Yes he was in a popular movie, yes he is a good looking guy..but so what? There are plenty of other guys out there just as handsome and with the same amount of talent. This guy deserves his privacy! Robert is a good looking man, I don’t know how he puts up with the screaming squaks of the teenage girls. I feel bad for him, that he is limited on where he is able to go. These “girls” should leave the man alone, and let him finish his job, and realize he has a LIFE, and maybe they should find their own!!!! Then you have the fans who want to know if he misses Kristen, well ya know, if he does…not our business…I enjoy movies, tv and all the entertainment, but I don’t envy the celebrities. They don’t have a private life, and I couldn’t handle that. So to Robert and Kristen, whatever relationship you may have or have not…good luck in your careers, I am fans of you both, I truly enjoyed the book series and now of the movies..not only did you bring Bella/Edward to life, so did the rest of the cast with the other characters, all of you are fantastic actors, and look forward to watching your careers grow!!!!

In all honesty I would hate to have people everywhere I go. Especially teenage girls. Why doesn’t he go hide out in Utah where it is super quiet and he can go camping or take in some other sights for some privacy. I just returned from a camping trip there and the entire city was beautiful. It is perfect there are so many places he can hide and the night life was pretty good considering the other factors of Salt Lake. Rob…if you read this take my advice it is really quiet and some what boring so try Utah. The people there are really nice. Girls please leave him alone and keep him safe.

I’m 34 and didn’t start to being interested in Rob (and Kristetn) until I started watching You Tube vids of them and read Twilight. I didn’t even see Twlight in the theaters, wtached it on DVD about 4 months ago. I find him immensely attractive in more ways than one. All you have to do is watch this interviews and you’ll get it (or you should). BUT I am a native New Yorker and have NEVER seen anything like what’s been going on. It’s utterly embarrassing for these girls (and in many cases women) behaving this way. I’ve been to the set twice over the last 2 weeks, most recently yesterday in Brooklyn, only because I knew not many people would be there. There was no screaming, except for the 2nd time I saw Rob exiting his trailer to shoot a new scene. All the girls that were bunched up behind me yelled \Rob, Brooklyn loves you!\. I Wanted to gag. He looked over his shoulder but kept walking. And this weird woman (probably 25-ish) told on of his bodyguards she had roses for him!!! Roses?? She was upset they wouldn’t take them. What planet are these people from??? I got the hell out of dodge after that. I got what I came for.

It’s not just kids or teenagers who stalk him. Women of all ages fantasize about him. I read a comment by a 63 yr old once about how hot he was! He should either date and be a womanizer to destroy the perfect image they have of him as Edward, or else be rude and cranky to them so they stop thinking he is their god. His fans always blame each other for causing the problems when the truth is they are all seriously deranged and their concept of what he is like stems from their own unhealthy obession. Who wants a fanbase that is so mentally unbalanced. Has to be plenty embarassing for him.

Ok. I also have an enormous crush on Rob; and I’m 35 and married. But, I have restricted my obsession to the internet gossip sites; I will not be visiting any sets and screaming at him like a lunatic. I’m patiently waiting for my crush to pass, and I’m sure once the hype has died down, I’ll be fantacising about someone else.
I think he should get a girlfriend, or at least say he does; I think that will diffuse some of the lovesick girls out there. As for me, I’ll be fine in time.

well i think if emile would quit being obsessive and quit hanging all over rob maybe also he would not be so stresses i’m sure he probably just wonted to make the movie great and then she came into the picture and ruined his and kristens relationship.but thats just my opinion so i hope their break does not ruin the rest of the twilight saga and i hope kristen and rob get back together cause you can tell he smiled alot more with her than emili.I hope rob and kristen become happy one day

I’m 42 married with a 14 yr old son, I enjoyed the book series and now am a fan of the movies as well. I feel sorry that Rob has to go thru the torture of being stalked by the young fan base of teenage girls, and some older ladies. He has repeated over in his interviews that he doesn’t like the screaming, and afraid that he will get hurt. These supposedly fans should show some respect and back off before they scare him off doing movies entirely, which would be a shame, since he has so much potential. If I was his mother, I’d be right there on the set, and if any screaming girl tried to approach my son,,,all hell would break loose!!!!! LOL You don’t mess with someone’s child….hang in the Rob
I really feel bad for Rob. By all accounts, he seems to be a nice and decent young man. What a shame that he cannot enjoy any free time away from the set w/o being mobbed. If he even talks to a girl then suddenly there is something going on between them, they are secret lovers or something outrageous. The ridiculous stories about him and co-star Emilie are just an example. And what about the picture of Emilie with her t-shirt tied in a knot like Kristen wears her t-shirts and the comments about the K-knot. Honestly. It’s like they are trying to stir up something with every minute detail. All I can say is “Hang in there, Rob. Soon it will be over.”
