The day after hearing the shocking news that musician and club owner DJ AM had been discovered dead at the age of 36 in his downtown Manhattan apartment, his former girlfriend, Mandy Moore has released a statement about the horrible loss.

“I am absolutely heartbroken. For those of us lucky enough to have known him, Adam radiated a contagious exuberance for life and also personified the very definition of a true friend. To say that he will be missed beyond words is an understatement. My heart goes out to his loved ones.”

it is very sad…he was a sick man…lots of talent but unfotunatley could not control his demons…another artist who was destructive…Michael Jackson showed that even though he had talent…he had no control over his life..i wish DJ’s life the best…they will mourn and suffer…but they need to remember their son chose to end his life in that manner.

Elsa…who peed in your wheaties? Hope you are not a licensed therapist…you are running a little low on compassion.

  2. Elsa Caceres says:

it is sad that he chose to end his life in a negative manner…he is another acotr who chose to take the easy way to be self destructive…the medical community has to learn not be bribe with money…the artist are sick and weak…they can not be responsible for their actions…good luck in the future

  3. Kimberly says:

Elsa, are you on the ME team? How do you know 2 days after he died that it was suicide? It may look that way, but how about we wait until the official report before we bash a guy who’s been dead less than 48 hours.

  4. Sue says:

I did not know DJ AM personally. Based on what his friends said, he was a real loyal friend. Good people are hard to come by these days. Too bad he died, I hope they find the murderer. I don’t think he would kill himself intentionally. The murderers are the drug dealers and this country is on their knees with this crime. The government is not doing enough to stop drugs in our environment.

  5. Reena says:

he chose to smoke crack and abuse other meds…it’s no one’s fault but his own.
