The fairy tale isn’t over for The Bachelorette’s Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski — laughing off rumors of trouble in paradise after explosive accusations that her fiancé cheated with two ex-girlfriends, Jillian tells OK!, “We have not even come close [to splitting].”
In fact, Ed is currently enjoying some much-needed togetherness with the Canadian interior designer in her native Vancouver.
“We’ve got a Jet Ski, so we’ve been spending lots of time on the lake,” says Jillian, who is preparing to move to fiancé Ed’s home city of Chicago in September.
The couple has also been busy shooting down allegations that Ed had strung along former flame Bethany Steffen while filming The Bachelorette, and slept with Lindsey Johnson just days after his May 24 proposal to Jillian.
“There’s just no truth to it,” Ed told ABC’s Good Morning America. For her part, Jillian stood squarely by her man.
“He has been very, very clear with me from the very beginning,” maintained Jillian, who fell for Ed after he tried to quit the show to focus on his career, only to return two episodes later, telling her he had “reprioritized.” “Ed is not deceiving me. Ed is not pulling the wool over my eyes,” she told GMA. “I personally don’t have time — in my normal, regular life that I’m getting back to — to entertain all of this.”
Jillian’s friends are backing her steadfast decision to stay with Ed.
“Those girls who claimed they were still with him were in it for fame and financial reasons; they saw an opportunity and ran with it and didn’t care who they hurt along the way,” a friend of the couple tells OK!.
“Jill was aware that there was a risk of this kind of tabloid attention when she got involved in the show,” reasons Shannon Long, who’s known Jillian since kindergarten and speaks with her every day. “She’s got it under control,” agrees Jillian’s longtime friend Brad Bell.
Adds Shannon, “Jill is in love. I’ve never seen her so happy in my entire life.”

It’s so good to see the truth come out after all the lies and malicious gossip was strewn about so irresponsibly. The fact of the matter is that Ed and Jillian really did fall madly in love and they are both mature adults who are determined to make their relationship work. I wish them so very much love and happiness for many years. They’re both wonderful people.
Can’t stand those parasites who are trying to hang on to the buzz and recapture their 15 mins. of fame at the expense of Jillian and Ed (Deanna, Wes and those 2 supposedly ex-girlfriends). These two seem perfectly happy together! More power to them!

If those two women had been telling the truth they lost any credibility and integrity when they let it get blasted all over the media. The only reason you would come forward with something like this is jealousy or just plain maliciousness. I personally believe it was just garbage so these two women could try to get their 15 minutes. Hey Ed & Jilly, if you are really meant to be, you’re meant to be. No one, no rumors/tabloids can tear you apart for it is your life, not ours, not theirs.
At this stage in your relationship, you are building a structure that will not only shelter yourselves but also your future family. Be strong and hold on to the very reason why you made your choice. Remember that it’s not only love that brought you together, it’s that commitment that you made between each other. A lot of couples that separated said the reason why they went on their separate ways was that they fell out of love. Well, they had a different understanding about love. Love is not just that tingling feeling inside you every time you see your loved one. True love is putting yourself aside for the sake of your beloved.
I agree that in a relationship you will come to that point when you’d think love jumped off the window — that is then the time when commitment will play a very important role in your relationship. Most importantly, God should be the center in your relationship.

How pathetic and desperate can this girl Jillian be? Guy got caught red-handed after he proposed, and she is still trying to convince herself he is a good guy… Wake up Jillian!
Whatever…. does anyone really know if they rumors are true or not… no…. but what matters most is if Ed and Jill are happy then leave them the fuck alone!
These are not just rumors for crying out loud! There is EVIDENCE of his cheating ways in text messages and emails. It is sad that Jillian can be so desperate and pathetic enough to remain with this man who obviously cheated on her even after the “proposal”. Intresting that she sent Wes home because of the rumors that he had a girlfriend while on the show and she ends up picking a guy who had TWO girlfriends during the show and AFTER the show- ironic, huh? Jillian, Ed is definately pulling the wool over your eyes for you are in deep denial trying to make it work at alll costs even at the cost of your self-respect and dignity. Jillian, keep dreaming… soon you’ll have a rude awakening- hopefully it’ll be sooner than later.
Have you seen the cell phones with the text messages on them? I certainly haven’t… anyone can say oh I got a text from him saying blah blah blah…. seriously wish people would just leave these two alone to enjoy each other and the love that they found….
I am with Courtney hope they do at least a yearly update to how things are going with them and I am sure we will find that they are still very happy….
“the love they found”- ha, ha, ha! Please this whole thing is a charade-a complete joke. What love??? This is what you call love? How is being involved with a three-timing loser “love”? The two women had ACTUAL texts and emails documenting this… they were interviewed on tv and presented these texts and emails. This is not love, this is desperation on Jillian’s part and Ed is just milking it until he can.
They had emails and texts from BEFORE Ed went on the show and the day or two BEFORE he left the show to come home, BEFORE Ed and Jilly fell madly in love and made promises to each other. These two vengeful (well one of them definitely was) girls were just full of spite and bitterness because Ed had fallen in love with someone else. It’s easy to see why. Jillian is kind and beautiful inside and out. They obviously are not.

Normally I would not blog or comment, but I read that Jill sometimes can’t help herself but read them (I think I would be the same way.) So I just want her to see there are girls sticking up for her!
In a court of law, the accused is treated innocent until proven guilty. Even if caught in the act, motive is established for the jury to come up with a decision. Yes, everyone has a day in court.
Ed is accused of doing such and such. If he really did it and what the motive behind it, it’s not our own business. Let’s mind our own business, let’s mind our own troubles. Work on what is best for our fellowmen to make this world a better place to live. Stop hate, promote love. That’s the message of the show – The Bachelor and The Bachelorette so let’s give these 2 people a chance to build a new life together. Let us all move on with our lives and leave the past behind, leave the baggages behind. Remember, carrying baggages will exhaust us easily, slow our run and dampen our spirits. We will never reach our goal if we have this perspective in life.

Yes, evidence. It is not just about saying so, and so, and so… there are actual texts and emails presented to prove that this was going on. If Jillian was someone close and dear to me I would be there for her but I will not be activley encouraging her relationship with this man. I would probably let her know what I think, how I feel about this man, let her know of my reservations given all this that has surfaced, and support her in her decsion (whatever that may be) but I will not be actively defending this man and joining in in her delusion that this man is completely innocent. Joining in in her delusion would be doing her a diservice and if I truly cared about her I would advise that she proceed in this realtionship with caution and take it slow (not jump and move in with this man at the first opportunity- what’s the hurry anyway- what is she trying to secure? A marriage at all costs?)…after all, \rumours\ sometimes are found to carry a grain of truth. Just my two cents…
The accusations whether true or not apparently do not matter anymore. Jillian and Ed have resolved the issue between the two of them, privately, as it should be. Good for them!

Has Jillian seen any text? But when all this was going on about some guys having girlfriends Ed all he did was stand there and not say a word. Rachel I just watched the finale too here in Australia. I loved Ed. Jan 6 2010 it was reported that Ed and Jillian made a date for the wedding. Apparently still in love. Man that girl had guys wanting her. Three left the show and tried again, Ed winning ofcourse. Good luck to her, and well done for trying before you buy….wink wink!
