Having your friend interview you would seem like a surefire way to avoid being misquoted or have your words taken out of context, but as Jennifer Aniston has learned, even that can’t protect you.
Jen’s pal interviewed her for her recent spread in Elle, but she tells E!’s Daily 10 in an interview airing tonight that the gist of the article still ended up off.
“It’s just their headline of ‘Lonely Girl’ that’s sort of bulls**t,” Jen says. “I agreed to do it because how many times have I done an interview — every time — and you’re misquoted and stupid sound bites get taken out of context and all of that….still happened with this. It’s unavoidable.”
In the article, Jen was quoted as saying, “I’m not going to ignore the pink elephant in the living room. It’s fine. I can take it. If I’m the emblem for ‘this is what it looks like to be the lonely girl getting on with her life,’ so be it.”
Jen’s not the kind to let the lonely label set her back though, as she adds, “I’m not upset about it. I just find it funny.”

She’s always “taken out of context” and it’s always someone elses fault (”Vanity Fair went all tabloid on me”). She knows what she’s saying, knows what the reaction will be, then tries to blame the interviewers for misquoting her. If you have the guts to say something, have the guts to stand up and admit it. Tired of her 5 yr pity party, lonely girl BS.
Angelina lovers, do what Jolie did, and go away. Jens made a good life for herself doing what she loves to do. I’m sure she gets lonely at times, as everyone does but(married or not), she’s also made it possible to do what she wants to do when she wants to do it, and with who she wants to do it with. I’m sure she’s very content with her life right now.

Maybe if you read the full article and not bits and pieces from a site you will see what was said.In Elle the interviewer and a friend reference the irony of Jen being seen as the lonely girl and when this is brought up to Jen she agrees that the title has been attributed to her, and says if this (meaning her/her life) is what that means, so be it, she can take it. She did not say she was lonely.
