Jessica Stroup doesn’t take playing a bipolar character on 90210 lightly, saying she is careful not to portray Silver’s mood swings as too over the top.
“It’s something that touches so many people but isn’t really explored, Jessica tells the Associated Press, adding that she researched bipolar disorder before attempting to bring it out in her character.
The results seem to be resonating with fans, as Jessica tells the AP some “have reached out to me to say they watched and it meant a lot.”
The second season of 90210 premieres tonight on the CW.
i will be watching the episode…to see how well it is done…i have had bi-polar disorder since sixteen years of age…with age it mellows…and i have struggled with it…i am stable due to medicine and counselling…it is like having diabetes…you deal with it…take care of yourself and eat well…hopefully it will nothing to be ashamed of…lots of successful people have it
