If Oprah Winfrey can’t do it no one can — her endorsements turn to immediate success, her words of wisdom captivate millions, and her support helped elect America’s first African-American President, Barack Obama. But now it seems Oprah’s throwing in the political towel.
According to the Associated Press, after achieving what few could in several lifetimes in the political arena, Oprah has decided to quit while she’s ahead and take a spectator seat with regard to politics.
“My job was to make people, or allow people, to be introduced to Obama, who might not have been, at the time,” she said. “I wanted him elected, and I think I did that.”
While Oprah remains an avid Obama supporter, she intends to refrain from commenting on the current political situation.
Too little too late. Thanks to Oprah and our so-called news media, the damage is done. We are no longer a Constitutional Republic. Obama has thrown the document that he swore to uphold right out the window while the media and Oprah twiddle their thumbs.

This whole situation is quite humorous…….I remember Oprah having the Obama’s on several months before he announced that he would be running for President of the United States. She had tons of questions for him, including asking him about running for the next term. She praised him for all of his hard work and what a black man raised by a single (white) mother is doing for “us.” Now, she has nothing to say. If your goal was to “introduce Obama to people whom might not have been” (haha, funny! how much did he spend to make sure his name/face was out to the public during his campaign?) and you are such a huge supporter of his, why not stand up for him now? Why not defend what he’s doing in office? The point is, that maybe Oprah realized that all of this “We need change” crap hasn’t helped. One of the first “changes” Obama made —– switching his transportation from Lincolns to Cadillacs, at our expense of course…….Just wondering what change is to come, a healthcare plan that will cover illegals but not the middle-class Americans?………………oh, wait………..
That’s because she knows she helped screw America when he got elected. Notice how she’s being very tight-lipped about the whole thing. If she thought Obama was doing a decent job, she’d be yelling it louder than anyone. Good she keeps quiet, that way she doesn’t lose her fan base.
