Even though her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown was convicted of viciously attacking her, Rihanna not only doesn’t think the restraining order — which keeps him at a safe distance for the next five years — is not needed, but she still hasn’t given up on the idea of taking him back.
“Though Rihanna does not object to the sentence, she did feel it was unnecessary to have the restraining order in place for five years,” Rihanna’s attorney, Donald Etra, tells OK!. Sources close to the star say she favors a less severe order that would only require Chris not to annoy or harass her.
“She really doesn’t see the necessity of keeping an entire football-field length between them,” one insider says. “She’s forgiven him. And he is remorseful.”
“Chris really wants to see her,” says Rihanna’s friend. Indeed, in last night’s interview with CNN’s Larry King, Chris admitted that being apart has been “difficult,” but “we’ll always be friends.”
Rihanna’s pal adds that despite all that’s passed between them — and despite her recent flirtation with rapper Aubrey “Drake” Graham at Katy Perry’s Aug. 30 post-concert party at H.wood nightclub — Rihanna still has feelings for her ex.
“She gets missing Chris and the s**t starts all over. A kiss and a slap, a kiss and a slap. Right now, she’s feeling strong. But she’s switched gears in the past and taken him back.”

Teeth and tongue fall out. Sometimes we love people who aren’t perfect. As long as they learned from the past mistakes and both understand that any type of abuse, be it verbal, or physical is unacceptable then I say have at it. People are always quick to condemn other people based on limited information. Only they really know what happened that night and only they can make the decision to either be together or distance themselves from one another.
Stop judging this girl. She is just a girl don’t expect her to be any stronger or weaker than any other woman dealing with the complexities of love. Give the girl a break. Some of you judging her would not be able to handle what she has with as a much style, grace and dignity. Leave her and Chris alone.
Besides I heard Chris was hung like a horse. Ladies that doesn’t grow on trees especially if he knows what to do with it. I feel sorry for the girl she is in a hard position…pardon the pun.
The restraining order is OVERKILL just to be cruel. The comment at the end of kissing and slapping was also uneccessary and intended to be cruel. enough already a 19 and 20 year old had a fight. The media tried to say their were other incidents and that was a lie. If they love each other it is none of our business. I have never seen this or any other mag or media outlet talk about the female abusers: Eminem, Mickey Rourke, Tommy Lee, Charlie Sheen, Rob Lowe, Jack Nicholson and many other.
I am sick of this story and the abuse of 2 talented young singers!
