Sounds like someone will be making another trip to the bank soon: Jon Gosselin has been ordered by the arbitrator in his divorce case to return $180,000 in marital funds, TMZ reports.
Kate Gosselin’s lawyer, Mark Momjian, said. “The remaining sum of $55,000, which Ms. Gosselin used for household bills and expenses relating to the children, will be subject to further determination by the arbitrator at a later date.”
The $180,000 must be returned by the next hearing on Oct. 26 or Jon will have to appear before the judge for a contempt proceeding.
The judge has also ordered Kate to provide an account of past expenses by the next hearing.
Kate said, “As difficult as this has been for me, I am pleased that the Court has ruled fairly on behalf of myself and my children. Now that this matter has been ruled on, I look forward to returning to private arbitration, as we have agreed to do, to resolve any remaining issues.”
Wonder if Jon really will be returning the $180,000 since he previously claimed to The Insider that Kate’s claim he took $230,000 was, “A total fabrication. I withdrew $22,000 last Thursday. I have the paper trail to prove it.”
He continued, “Over the past four years of doing the show, we accrued $2,250,000. She says in the past week I took $230,000. I have withdrawn roughly $177,000 over the course of a year, which is less than 10 percent of what we made. That’s like my paycheck.”
Looks like the judge wants that paycheck!
give me a break and what about the money that Kate has admitted she took to hide for safety .Why hasn;t she been told to return that money that she has hid . If he did take the money and told to return then so should she be told the same !!!!!!! She has said that on National TV but Jon has to return money .. She must have really poured on the tears to the Judge because she no way near broke like she claims to be . . Its clear what side the judge is on for sure …
Kate returned that money after taking it out of the account……. After thinking about it, she didn’t want to play that card and returned it back into the account….. She said it quite a few times. I know I read about it a few times.
Kate definitely has proven she is trustworthy and can attend to business to take care of her children.
Jon on the other hand is selfish and acting as immature as his kids. Did he turn into a teenager
or having a male menopause? I guess he thought he may as well get as much attention as he can
because when he fades from TV and money, he’s just another dirty old man. His looks won’t win him anything, his physique won’t either. A decent mature woman wouldn’t have anything to do with him.
Kate is cute, smart and is more than a mother. She has every right to write a books or books. She’s
smart enough and does have something to say. Jon just wants to know where the next party is. The only
publicity he manages to get is negative. He’s more interested in his sex life than his children’s
mental well-being. Luckily the kids have one responsible parent. Hats off to Kate!!!!

Why did Jon go on TV showing a receipt to prove that he didn’t take $230,000? The answer is, because Kate and her lawyer accused Jon of taking $230,000 from the account on 10-01-09. That’s why Jon showed the receipt to show everyone that he didn’t take out $230,000 on 10-01-09, but $22,000 instead.
Jon has admitted to taking $177,000 from the account in a year’s time. Yes, he was off by $3,000, because he wasn’t actually sure of the amount he has taken, but anyone, including the Kate lovers that is honest can say that $177,000 is closer to $180,000 than $230,000 is.
How can Kate not remember that she has used $55,000 on bills? Why would she lie and say that her husband took everything out of the account, except $1,000.

Kate didn’t say she used $55,000 on bills. Her lawyer said the rest of the money she uses to pay bills ($55,000) will be considered at the next hearing. That means that right now Jon has to pay back $180,000 and they are still considering the other $55,00 in question.
Kate has to account for the $55,000 she claims to have paid her bills with.
Ughhhhh this is getting juicier by the day. Looks like the kids will be back on TLC working their tails off till they are 18 so mommy and daddy can afford the sar life they have demanded. Little Lohens I see in the next 10 years ehhhh. Messed up family no matter who side any one takes. I’m appalled the judge has not had these children put in the care of the court till these two bone heads learn to play nice with each other and stop running their mouths to the media. Just shut up you two ding a lings and take care of your kids. I will not watch their show and I don’t care what they rename it, you can’t change the fact that the two parents are using their kids for the nice life they think the world owes them.
I wish someone would put the two of them on an island somewhere and take those 8 kids away from them. Just think we won’t have to see the two ever again. Ahhhhh thats nice
