While Dancing with the Stars partners Louie Vito and Chelsie Hightower have always pish-poshed the nagging rumors they’re in a real-life romance, it looks like their recent elimination from the hit ABC reality competition might have cleared the way for a partnership that’s a little more than professional.
Talking to Louie about the romance rumors after Tuesday night’s elimination, the Olympic snowboarder seemed to indicate to OK! that at the very least, he’d like to be with Chelsie.
“I don’t know. Things might have just split after that dancing right there,” he said. “I should have stepped it up a little bit. I was going for the impression factor, if I could dance better, maybe I’d impress her a little bit more.”
Referring to his kissing Chelsie during their Monday night jitterbug, Louie said, “But at least we got that kiss in before the season was over because I really would have hated to have to unexpectedly put that on her before the season ended, when we were walking out there.”

When OK! probed Chelsie to find out if she thought Louie was boyfriend material, the dancer remained quiet. Louie, however, spoke up on his own behalf. “She’s afraid to answer that in front of me. I understand,” he explained. “I think I have great boyfriend potential. I have a great personality, I love long walks on the beach, going to a nice movie, maybe some outdoor activities. I really enjoy snowboarding, skateboarding, dancing. I know the salsa, mambo, jive, rumba, Argentine tango, the two-step, even! I have a good resume for a boyfriend!”
So now that their dancing days are done, is more togetherness ahead for the couple? Stay tuned!

You’re the ONLY publication that just HAD to bring up romance rumors. In your world, two young people who get along, have great chemistry dancing, have fun together and enjoy each others company cannot be best friends. I hope all this stupid DATING crap doesn’t spoil a wonderful relationship.
Louie is quite a charmer. Like that he is so up-front and witty. He does interviews well. Chelsie does not like being interviewed very much. I think she is a bit taken aback when she is asked personal questions.
Louie is quite the charmer. He loves women and makes no bones about it. I like that about him. I have always been puzzled by the way the fans turn on the dancers when romance rumors start - it takes two to tango, and foxtrot, and paso doble.
I hate to say this, but dancers from DWTS are like dime and dance dancers and strippers. A lot of the love is fake. However, if Chelsie was fake in her mannerisms, then she might want to get a job at Scores, because she could have fooled me. Great actress if her feelings toward Louie are fake.
In truth, I don’t think Chelsie is a fake, and honestly believe that she will start dating Louie once the entire season ends.
If Chelsie shows up at the winter Olympic games, especially after Louie wins the gold medal, the 2 will be an item. The most talked about couple since John and Kate.
I think theya are! And if they aren’t, they should! watched a few interveiws with them and whenever asked they wouldn’t say no. They would say the question is akward and Chelsie got So Red! Love them!
I called that they would be going out at the beginning of the season, I looked all over for any kind of reference for it and finally found it here! Too bad they’re eliminated now. Louie was so much fun to watch!
Some folk are just missing it…Anna! They are clearly into each other. It was more than the dancing, it was the body language after the dances and the interviews. They are cute together but I hope what ever relationship they have (friendship or lovers) is build on real feelings and not just the jitterbug. : ) Wishing them the best either way ~~
I hope they’re dating! Louie seems like such a genuine, fun guy with a great personality. He and Chelsie are adorable together, and their body language definitely makes it look like they’re together. It seems like Chelsie doesn’t want to talk about it though. Time will tell I suppose.
Whether they are not dating or not, I think it is none of our business. They obviously enjoy each other’s company and have a great relationship but whatever develops afterwards, I think they would prefer to keep it between themselves.
I heard on Access Hollywood they were! But you know that show makes things up and all. They seem really into eachother. Like when they had to go back to get thier scores they always took forever doing…? And they NEVER say no, so who knows??
I definately think that Louie and Chelsie are dating. They have been hanging out together since getting kicked off DWTS on Tuesday. In fact, there is a picture on the Mountain High Resort website (http://www.mthigh.com/photos/) of them getting ready to go snowboarding! They have their arms around each other and look super cute together!
I hope that Louie and Chelsie get to dance at the DWTS finale….perhaps the rumba?? That dance was super HOTT!
