Jon Gosselin is continuing to put himself in the hot seat, making the rounds in the media. Jon went on Larry King Live Thursday night to respond to the claims he made against TLC and the new Kate Plus 8 show. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight airing Friday, Jon reportedly apologizes to Kate Gosselin (or the camera).
Jon plans to tell Kate “sorry” in person, but for now he thinks the best way to handle things is by taking it to the media.
Jon tells ET’s Mary Hart that he would like to say to Kate, “Kate, I just want to apologize, you know for my actions. You know, I’m sorry, you know, that I was an avoider and I didn’t communicate properly. And now I have to take initiative, let’s both go together, let’s both mediate this thing out.”
Jon also says that he has apologized to his kids and will continue to do so, adding, “I mean they’re [aged] 5 and 8, but they understand tabloids, they understand paparazzi, they understand all that stuff. They know things that are always printed are not truth. … They are media trained themselves, but when the time is right as a father I’ll decide what I’m going to do with my kids, apologizing whys and what’s right to say. I mean, that’s why I am getting counseling and that’s why I have a great team because I don’t really know what to say to them that won’t hurt them or harm them in any way.”
Last time Jon made the media rounds, Kate responded by doing the same thing by talking back to him through the cameras… we’ll see if that happens again!
This guy wil just do anything to get his face in front of the cameras. Don’t film my kids…..I want to be a father….I hate Kate….Calling off the divorce. I sure hope Kate continues to show the integrity she has shown up to this time and just walks away from him and all his tricks. He isn’t worth it and she has shown nothing but class during all his sleazy escapades.
This guy is the biggest looser that I have ever seen! He is pathetic and now that he realizes that he wont get paid to chase women, and watch his kids with his phone never leaving his ears to even hear his kids, now he wants them to stop filming? I dont even watch that show but what a jealous looser!! if he cared anything at all about his kids he would be glad that Kate is securing a financial future for them. How does he plan to do that? has this guy ever even had a real job? All this reality crap is a joke and ruins peoples lives but this guy really takes the cake. WHAT A PANSY!
Kate went on LKL first. Why is everyone bashing Jon? Kate was the one that was gone at least 20 days out of 30 in one month to promote her book and do talk shows. She is the one always on the media. Jon has only sat down twice by himself in front of the camera. Last night was the second.

Sara you need to get a life! yes Kate was gone a lot, it is called making a living for your family. You can’t do that while sitting on your butt @ home and chasing cheap tramps.
Concerned, you’re the biggest loser. The best thing that can happen now is for both Jon and Kate to get back together. It will be good for the children to have both parents in the same house living together. This is bigger that Jon or Kate. The children are the bigger picture here. They need to raised by both parents in a loving home. If Jon apologizes, Kate should accept it, reconcile their marriage, put the past behind them, and look to the future.
Shawn ~ I agree that it would be better if they got back together but Jon doesn’t seem to want the responsibility of raising his children on a day to day basis. He already said he hated Kate. He also has never said he wanted to go back to Kate. He only said he was sorry about what has happened and I’m sure after him making himself look like the big jerk he is, that he is truely sorry for that, and that’s about all. You see he’s probably ruined all his chances of getting a job with Ed Hardy or anyone else. Who wants a loser that most people don’t like. NO ONE.
Going on LKL is not promoting her book. Going on Today show the other day was not promoting her book. Neither one was anything than a smear tactic against her children’s own father. She would look a lot better if she stayed home and kept her mouth shut, but she can’t stand to not get attention and be on tv and to look better than Jon. It’s all for Kate…

Kate had it together right from the start and he never has had that. He wants to re-live his “missed childhood” and he has no regard for his children. Why is he trying to delay the divorce? Could it be because Kate has some future offers for jobs and he plan on getting everything he can so of course it’s in his best interest to wait to divorce her. He’s made it clear: 1) He hates Kate. 2) He’s moved far from his family so that he can party hardy (no pun intended) 3) When he is with the children, he doesn’t appear to be fully there with them. 4) He obivously doesn’t want Kate, doesn’t want to work the marriage out. 5) Still thinks he’s found his soul mate in that 23 year old girl. So, he doesn’t have Kate’s best interests at heart and surely not his family. I personally think the only reason he wants filming to stop is because he has made himself look like a fool to most of America and figures if TLC is not filming then all his lame actions might not be captured on camera for his children to see once they are old enought to understand. Lame Loser and I hope Kate is a major success and you pass on from your 15 minutes of fame.
Sara, my husband and I have been married 30 years and have 5 children. Because of his job, he is gone 50% of each year, traveling for business. This means that he has been absent for much of our children’s lives. Based on your reasoning, this makes him an unfit father rather than someone who is working hard to support his family. I assure you he is a very fit father.
Trudie, I know many parents that travel for a living. But none that go on LKL to talk about their money, or soon to be ex, or other personal things. I don’t know of any traveling parent that goes on the Today show to tell them about her bank account and about what bills she has to pay.
That is what I mean. Most of her traveling is not about the book, it is about HER and how many times she can get her face on tv and magazines.
Well Kate works a lot as motherhood to 8 kids and too much emotional. I can feel her and understand very well. Jon needs to take it easy and let him apologize to Kate this time!! I hope both calm down and face reality for children’s sake. I think Jon made a big mistake by his action, yes right!
Too little too late Jon boy. I think Jon’s apology is an empty one at best. And, if Kate thinks they might get back together? Think again. He doesn’t want the daily responsibilities of raising 8 children. If he had, he would have stayed close to his family and not moved away from them. Surely Kate knows this and can see this?
Kate should go for full custody.

why is everyone forgetting how kate used to degrade jon on the show. Kate have a obsession about making people look small, i agree with jon he should’ve left that idiot a long time ago. I was watching the show and the family was at some picnic, Kate would not leave jon alone, she criticized and degraded him on tv, she is getting what she deserve. They should take the show off the air, because kate only cares about herself, she should go and make a living to feed her kids, like how the rest of us parents do, go work and get a salary. How many parents make a lving by parading their kids on a show. Who wants to see stupid kate at a park, and riding around, and shopping. kate’s family knows what kind of person she is, kate have a very selfish attitude towards everyone, she only thinks about herself and what she can get out of the situtation. People looking at her on talk shows and books tours, and her smiling and talking all soft, but in the home, she is a screaming nasty woman. Jon was not happy with that idiot he married too, she left him and the kids and went off touring and selling her stupid book; and having sex with her bodyguard. Now she wants to act all innocent and parade around like she is so tender and fragile. She is a wicked witch and jon is right to leave her stupid behind, no man will stay with her with all those kids. Think about her screaming on mornings, jon should’ve slapped her and make her understand who wears the pants around the house, and shout in her face, then she would step off her high horse and stop PRETENDING.
My only question to Jon “Is what took you so long to wake up?” Kate talked to you like a dog in front of their children and depended on you to step up to the plate in her abesence. When will it air about her affair, does she think hers is different because the reporters did not catch her?
