Nicole Richie takes full charge when caring for daughter Harlow, almost 2, and 1-month-old son Sparrow, insiders tell OK! “Nicole doesn’t like the idea of nannies raising her kids, so she and [partner] Joel Madden are very hands on,” notes one source. Adds another: “Joel jokes that he’s the official diaper changer.”
Nicole’s dad, Lionel Richie, 60, is also a big part of her baby team, bringing her over presents, holding the kids and singing them nursery rhymes.
In fact, Nicole jokes that Lionel and Joel, 30, should put out a children’s album together, since they sing to Harlow and Sparrow so much.

Photo op? They are walking out of an establishment and a photographer took their picture. Because they are celebrities, they can’t go out of their house without someone saying it’s a photo op?
There is a huge difference between the two families. For one the Gosselins sell thier children for their own fame. Nicole and Joel never put thier children out like that they actually seem to be good parents. It’’s nice to see that some people can care for the children they do have.
Nicole and Joel don’t need photo ops really … they were pretty famous before the kids came. The Gosselins are ONLY “famous” because of the sextuplets.
The Gosellins are so fake! The \sextuplets\ are like their famous \accessories\. Kate is always acting \oh-i-want-my-kid-to-eat-healthy-cause-i’m-such-a-good-mom\ or \I’m-going-to-disipline-my-kids-cause-I’m-so-glamourous\ while Jon is like \I’m going to be cool and smoke again and date a 22-year old and wear ed hardy cause I’m going to be cool again\ Nicole and Joel ROCK!!!
