While other celebs might be out there indulging in various late night escapades and wardrobe malfunctions, Carrie Underwood, on the other hand, says she doesn’t carry the burden of being a role model to young girls lightly. “I take it very seriously, and my motto is, I would never want to do anything that would embarrass my own children in the future,” Carrie tells fans during an Invitation Only Q&A set to air tomorrow night at 9 p.m. ET on CMT.
“I think that’s the best way to look at things,” she adds. “Or, I never want to do anything that would make my parents, my role models, disappointed in me.”
As for how she arrived at the superstar status she enjoys today, Carrie is also grateful to American Idol.
“I literally would not change a thing at all, not bad stuff,” she reveals. “Not Simon [Cowell], like, ripping me apart on national television, in front of millions and millions of people, because that brought me to where I am now. And I’m so blessed, I wouldn’t change a thing.”
Invitation Only: Carrie Underwood will feature performances by the country songstress, including new songs from her album Play On, and a laid-back Q&A with the audience.

She’s so beautiful and such a positive role model, good for her!
Carrie is the best. Ive met her several times and shes just a sweetheart and so gorgeous.
I find it kind of funny OK mag would report that she is moving in with her BF, which was a lie and she would never do, and now saying shes a role model and full of good character which is totally true. Backtracking to fix it I guess. Carrie follows the Bible in every sense and so does her Boyfriend Mike Fisher.
We still hope that Carrie Underwood will save her hometown movie theater
