Grey’s Anatomy hunk Eric Dane is the latest star to sign on to Christina Aguilera’s striptease musical, Burlesque.
According to Variety, McSteamy will join an ensemble cast including Cher, Stanley Tucci, Cam Gigandet, Kristen Bell and Alan Cumming.
The movie is centered around Ali (played by Xtina), a small-town girl with a big voice who fulfills her dreams at a neo-burlesque club.
Cher plays a former dancer, Tess, who runs the ailing dance establishment and mentors Ali.
Father-to-be Eric, 37, will play Marcus, a charming, successful businessman who offers to buy Tess out of the burlesque club and vies for Ali’s heart.

I think singers should start out in a role were they’re not the lead. Test the waters. Taking a lead role acting opposite an Oscar winning actress, very ambitious.
