No sooner than Good Morning America canceled Adam Lambert’s appearance after his controversial turn at the American Music Awards, than it emerges that ABC will welcome Chris Brown for an interview and performance on the show next week.
Chris, 20, will do a taped tell-all with Robin Roberts, followed by a rendition of his songs from his new album, reports the New York Post.
“The network is giving a mixed message,” an ABC source tells the newspaper, “that it doesn’t trust someone who shocked with an unpredictable show and a gay kiss, but then it is happy to go ahead with Chris Brown, who was convicted of felony assault.”
ABC insiders say Glambert was ditched from GMA because he proved — after groping a female dancer, kissing a male keyboard player and simulating a sex-act with a male dancer on Sunday night — that he was inappropriate for morning television.
“He was not canceled over a gay kiss,” a source tells the paper. “He showed himself to be unpredictable on live TV.”
Chris — who is currently hawking his new album, Graffiti, while Rihanna promotes her Rated R — taped an interview with GMA’s Robin last weekend.
“Chris Brown’s interview was booked way before Adam Lambert took to the stage,” says the ABC insider, “It is to give him a chance to respond to Rihanna’s interview. The possibility of him performing a song will be worked out next week.”
Rihanna broke her silence about the Grammy night beating to Diane Sawyer earlier this month.

The point is that there is much more going on with Adam and all of ABC than just being canceled from GMA. Adam embarrassed a whole network and has cause a lot of problems. So get over it.
Adam’s story has changed 3 times since his horrid performance on the AMA’s. It has nothing to do with being gay so that excuse of Adam’s is pointless. He is the only one making it all about being gay rather than focusing on the real matter at hand. It’s all he’s go to stand on.
People were disgusted with what he considers edgy and sexy. First off, Adam couldn’t pull of sexy if he tried. Second, he was completely arrogant with his attitude and lastly, he stands on the stage and gives the finger to everyone that doesn’t like him (which he clearly stated in a video interview with MTV). Then he has the nerve to say he’s not a babysitter? No, he’s not a babysitter but he sure could use on himself because he’s been acting like a petulant little twit.
Adam is a waste of space and time. He got his butt canned and rightly so. If he stopped long enough to think of others rather than just himself, an apology could go a long way. Adam stated that he won’t apologize, so he can pay the consequences. He’s got to grow up.

I find the pictures of Rhianna beaten and bruised a hell of a lot more offensive than Adam’s AMA performance. Adam Lambert has proven and will continue to prove how talented a performer he is. His AMA performance was only one performance and not what one should expect of every performance he gives in the future. He has already proven that to the public will he stellar performances on CBS and Letterman. But Chris Brown? Once a woman beater, always a woman beater and not deserving of public support. Just ask any woman who has been there.
I am a woman who’s been there, several times in fact. I found that intense therapy helped me determine why I kept attracting & accepting abusive partners. I’ve forgiven them & released them from my thoughts completely. I no longer accept abusive people in my life PERIOD!
From reading the little you wrote, may I suggest that you seek therapy & God for your forgiveness issues. You seem to be taking out your anger for your abuser/s on a young an who has not abused you directly. Chris Brown is an artist by profession, and that has nothing to do with his personal relationships. His music should not be used to judge his character. In fact, his appearance on GMA isn’t going poison anyone. Whoever has impressionable children, or are impressionable themselves, aren’t being forced to watch this segment of the show.

Please read a book, or go back to school. Beating her to the point he did, regardless of it being his “first time”, is actually a terrible crime. Women get killed everyday by their boyfriends/husbands “first time” beating them. I think it’s wonderful that he acknowledged how wrong his actions were and apologized, but as far as Chris learning from his mistakes, let the next 10 years go by without him touching another woman like that and we’ll see if he has truly learned.
Chris Brown has nothing to do with the stats or scenarios that you listed.Chris is accountable for what he did in that situation,he’s not accountable for the actions of what others did.
