Jon Gosselin’s date book is filling up: First there’s Thanksgiving at Hailey Glassman’s family home, then on Dec. 14 he has to appear in a Maryland courtroom in relation to TLC’s breach of contract lawsuit against him.
RadarOnline.com reports that a judge will hear TLC’s motion for a preliminary injunction and the dad—of—eight might be questioned under oath about his outside income.
The cable network says Jon, 32, violated the contract he signed with them in a number of ways, including breaching their exclusivity and confidentiality clauses.
The Jon & Kate Plus 8 star will go up against the law firm of Williams & Connolly.
RadarOnline.com also says a number of other witnesses are being lined up against him.

Please learn your Constitution, the Freedom of Speech refers to Governments allowing individuals to speak out against the government. Company has every right (all companies do that) to control what is being said about their business. I guess you do not work.

Welcome to REAL life responsibility. Finally, maybe someone will teach him to honor his word (especially signed word), what it means to have integrity and responsibility for your actions. Alicia , I so agree. Doesn’t matter what I “feel” about TLC, Jon/Kate or the show. Contracts are a form of protection and promise that multiple ppl agree on. PPL AGREE UPON RULES WITHIN CONTRACT. Your car payment with bank is a contract.
How about the bank taking your car even if payments are made. Broken contract. Same as …..! So sick of Jon’s whining voice.
Jon had a very clear deal with TLC. He signed a contract to ensure that he and TLC were both clear on the terms of that deal and that each of their interests were protected and he earned a great deal of money due to their agreement. Then he decided that he didn’t want to follow the terms anymore. That was a dumb move. Calling a major corporation and trying to blackmail them into letting you out of your contract was even worse. He’s wrong and TLC is right and it’s so simple I can’t believe anyone would think he has any sort of legal ground. And if you really pity him, try and remember that no one forced him to sign it. He wanted the money and he agreed with the terms until he decided he’d rather host Vegas pool parties than play with his kids.

many companies have “non compete” clauses, HOWEVER, if Jon felt his income potential was to be jeopardized he has every right to exercise his right to “employment” whether there is a contract or not. a company cannot prevent a person from making a living, even if it is the same realm they currently have a contract or ” non compete” clause in. I do hope Jon gets a good atty in this suit, that can show cause that he had the right to seek “employment”
and support himself and his family - with or without TLC - no matter what public opinion is.
none of you would want to be told by your employer that you cannot make a living at what you do elsewhere.
Sorry to say - I am not totally on team Jon but I am certainly NOT on Team Kate. Enough is enough. TLC certainly has other avenues to puruse revenue from, let the Gosselins GO HOME and be private citizens. The world is sick of this saga !

Dana - TLC continue to pay Jon per the contract even though he was no longer in the title. They made that very clear. Jon is still earning a living from TLC, they have honored their part of the contract, his income potential was not jeopardized at all, they have not prevented him from earning a living, in fact they are paying him very handsomely.
Also TLC’c contract does not prevent him making a living elsewhere, what it does do is require him to get approval prior to doing any other interviews etc. In the past Jon did this as did Kate, they got approvals then did their books, interviews, appearances for extra money etc.. but then Jon stopped doing this & this was were the problem started.
Jon has clearly breached the terms of his very lucrative contract with TLC. TLC have not breached the terms of the contract.
Jon does not have a leg to stand - open & shut case
Have you seen his paycheck? They took the man off the show and before that told him to clam up when his marraige had broke up as far as a year ago. He spoke up and was fed up with the farce TLC was feeding into people and he didn’t want to play make beleive anymore as far as his marriage was concerned. Leave the guy alone and TLC needs to pack their crap and move on
Well said, I know that I can take side jobs to supplement my income and my employer has no say in the matter. It would be a cold day in HELL when my employer tells me what to say off of work, how to speak, what to talk about, and how to behave off the clock. Is this America or the Soviet Union?
