Uma Thurman will play Robert Pattinson’s love interest in Bel Ami, a tale of an ambitious young journalist who sleeps his way to the top of Paris society.
The English Patient star Kristin Scott Thomas has also joined the cast of the adaptation of Guy De Maupassant’s short story, says The Hollywood Reporter.
R-Pattz, 23, will play George Duroy, an impoverished young journalist who becomes one of Paris’ most successful citizens by shacking up with the city’s most glamorous and influential women.
Uma, 29, plays the wife of George’s friend, who helps him in his career before marrying him. The movie starts shooting in Paris next year.
