As Michaele and Tareq Salahi successfully crashed President Barack Obama’s first state dinner last Tuesday in Washington D.C. and are now under full investigation by the White House, E! Online reports that the vying couple is attempting to be a part of Bravo’s upcoming reality series the Real Housewives of D.C.
Bravo told E! News that they were misled by Virginia- based socialites Michaele and Tareq, who told the network that they were indeed invited to the banquet and even allowed the production company to film them prior to the “party crash.”
After sneaking past the Secret Service who may have not checked all invitations carefully enough, the Salahis were able to actually snap photos with the first couple inside the grand dinner, which according to E! Online, they proceeded to post of their Facebook page for all to see.
Officials announced on Friday that the Virginia-based pair would be part of an intensive federal investigation, although full blame as been taken by the president’s security as E! Online reports that Secret Service spokesman Jim Mackin claims the issue is being handled very vigilantly by internal affairs and has not yet ruled out criminal charges against the Salahi family.
Meanwhile, E! Online also insists that Bravo has not committed to the Salahi’s appearance on the reality show just yet, which has seen much success with its original series, the Real Housewives of Orange County.
Not the first time the Obama White House has had gate crashers.
