The termination of their beloved reality show has not been easy on the Gosselin brood. Kate Gosselin revealed to Barbara Walters last night that her eight children burst into tears when hearing their TLC show was over.“I finally admitted [it] to them,” Kate told Barbara during her 10 Most Fascinating People of 2009 interview. “They kept asking ‘Where’s the camera crew? We miss them!’ And I said, ‘Our show is over.’ And they — eight sobbing kids driving home from school.”
The children still don’t realize the magnitude of the show or that they themselves are famous.
“That’s not a word we use,” Kate said. “I don’t like that word. They watch DVDs of our show and it’s family memories to them.”
Kate also spoke about her memories with ex-husband Jon Gosselin in the intimate interview.
“I love the Jon that I remember, the Jon that I knew, the Jon who brought our kids home from the hospital, the Jon who used to be the bath man and the bedtime guy,” she said.
Kate said there is no hope of her and Jon rekindling their romance at this point in their relationship.
The dutiful mother remains unclear on why Jon stopped allowing TLC to film their children for what would have been Kate Plus 8.
“I don’t get it,” she said.
The other public figures that made Barbara’s fascinating people list include Lady Gaga, Glenn Beck, Tyler Perry, Adam Lambert, Sarah Palin, Brett Favre, Jenny Sanford, Michael Jackson’s children Paris, Prince Michael and Prince Michael II (Blanket), and Michelle Obama holding the number one spot.

It is a shame for Kate and The Kids!
I’m sick of hearing about how the kids cried because there were no more cameras. Kate is maniplating TLC and the kids. the kids need to live normal lives. Barbara Walters thinks Kate is going to be a star. Barbara must not have been much of a mother if she believes that Kate is so fascinating. She’s manipulating and controlling. She likes the limelight and doesn’t care who she has to step on to get what she wants. She’ll get rid of a husband and prostitute her children. Get a life Kate. She’s not around enough to care for her children. Thank God for nannies. She’s alienated her family and friends because of her personality. I’ll say one thing for Kate she’s not giving up on using her kids again. No one’s ever answered the questions, why does Kate need a bodyguard and why does the owner of the security service have to be the one to care for Kate. I thought he supervised other bodyguards. I say give it another 6 months and you’ll hear about Steve and Kate moving in together. Watch my words.

Kate needs to give it up…. I watched the very first shows and very quickly realized her greed ran deeper than her love for her children. How sad is it that the kids cry for the “crew” but not for the loss of ALL of the family members that they have lost because of the mother. Shouldn’t they be crying for Aunt Jodie, Uncle Kevin and the grandparents????? and all of the others Kate has alienated from them!!!!!
