While the rest of the world is expressing their concern for the people of Haiti while they struggle to recover from the 7.0-magnitude earthquake that has taken the lives of hundreds of thousands and left many more without food, shelter or medical care, Gossip Girl star Taylor Momsen tells OK! that, while she cheers on the rescue efforts, she’s too overwhelmed with work right now to get actively involved in fundraising efforts.
Last night, OK! caught up with the leggy teenager at the Victoria’s Secret store in NYC’s SoHo district, where she was promoting the new Victoria’s Secret Beauty fragrance, Love Rocks. And when asked if she’s planning to follow the lead of stars like Wyclef Jean, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, who are making high-profile donations and pleas for help, Taylor told OK!, “Um, right now I’m trying to just finish my record and getting through the last season of Gossip Girl for right now. So not so much thinking about that.”
Added Taylor, “But it’s awesome that everyone is ya know working towards a good cause.”
One topic Taylor was more keen to talk about was Love Rocks. “I like that the scent is a little bit tougher than a lot of the other Victoria’s Secret scents that have been out,” she explained. “Ya know, it’s just a little bit more masculine which I like a lot. And the packaging looks really pretty on a vanity I think. And I like the little spray, what’s that called? An atomizer. I like the little atomizer.”

Well, I understand you don’t care at all about what happened and the suffering of Haitians because you made that OBVIOUSLY CLEAR!!! But you don’t have to be disrespectful and well, discriminate!!! It’s not the peoples’ fault that they live in poor conditions, they are one of the poorest countries so they don’t have much needs to provide proper standards of living. You don’t live in those conditions, you have everything handed it to you so you don’t have to fear how you’re life is going to be everyday. I do hope they get better, but I am not going to stop my life for a place I have never been, because of an earthquake, things happen for a reason, but you have to move on. Just like the people who kill themselves, or loss of family/friends. We are sad for a moment, but we have to move on with our lifes and keep them going
so that means you will just turn a blind eye to people with so much problems, who live and below one dollar, those without food, home,family and shelter. You do know that they have as much right as living wonderful lives as we more fortunate people do.

I find , that with about tons and tons of people all acros the world , helping, what difference does it make? Its her money, and her pressence , why should you start bashing her like that? Its Not her responsibility , and people shouldn’t expect her to throw $5,000,000 dollors at Haiti , just leave her alone , and get over it. Don’t hate on her .
Clearly with her job and, as I understood, upcoming CD, she can give away at least one small dollar. My parents and I donated 50$, which is about infinity more than what she gave (since she didn’t give anything you understand my point), to the Red Cross.
Anyway, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie gave one million dollars. Okay, they probably have more money than the girl, but I’m sure she could have given at least… 1 dollar?
The way she said it seems to mean that she doesn’t give a f*ck about Haiti and that she doesn’t have time to make a call to the Red Cross or another NGO to give even one dollar.
And yes, that’s right, thousands – perhaps millions – of people have helped Haiti and I too wonder why I should give when 50$ won’t make a difference. The only good answer, which nodoby likes, but it’s true, is that if nobody gave money to help, nothing would change.
So basically Taylor Momsen has proven to be an idiot due to her lack of basic expression, and the fact that she didn’t even donate one dollar. Now if she did and did not say so, it means her brain is not developed enough to make the simple equation “telling what I gave=people understanding I’m sensitive about Haiti” and if I were her I would seriously check a doctor because it is not normal.

It’s not so much that she doesn’t donate and help(most don’t) but as a public figure her statement about it is plain stupid, she could have just said someting like ” my heart goes out to…” etc and said she donated already and that would have been it. Saying she’s too busy to think about it makes her look like a selfish and bad person and everyone knows that for celebrities it’s all about appearance.
Haiti? Isn’t our problem. There are so many problems in our own country that need rectifying…our own people without food or shelter. There are still people in Louisiana and other states affected by Katrina without their homes rebuilt. And, hello, how about OUR ECONOMY. Haiti isn’t our problem.
I feel bad for them, but sending money to help them is akin to feeding the neighbors’ children while your own starve.
