Sadly, Gossip Girl star Chace has Tweeted that he’s out of the race for the role of Captain America.

But, Channing will join the remaining men who are being considered for the part, The Hollywood Reporter reports. Young and the Restless star and Wilson Blethel and She’s Out of My League star Mike Vogel have screen-tested for the role and Chris Evans, star of Fantastic Four, has read for the part.

Channing has only been approached for the role right now and hasn’t seen a script yet, much like the rumored consideration for the female role!
Keira Knightely was reportedly approached last week to be considered for the role of Betsy Ross.
It sucks that Chace Crawford is out for a role in ‘Captain America, but I wish all the other stars the best in trying to get roles for the movie!
