While dating in the workplace is frowned upon in the real world, celebrities routinely hook up with their co-stars to sometimes happy, sometimes disastrous, but always attention-getting results. (Sophia Bush and ex-hubby Chad Michael Murray starring on One Tree Hill, anyone?)
For True Blood co-stars Stephen Moyer, 40, and Anna Paquin, 27, the result may just be an ending fit for a fairytale.
The couple, who began dating in 2008, announced their engagement last August, and remain blissfully in love.
“We met during the show,” he tells me during Cosmopolitan’s Fun Fearless Males Awards held last week in NYC. “Because the crew, the cameramen, the actors and everyone grew up watching us, they’ve seen every single move I’ve ever made on her.”
Were Stephen and Anna hesitant that they were courting disaster?
“It’s quite fun when it’s not rolling,” he says. “It is so lovely. I’ve got nothing bad to say about it. I can imagine why it would be. Certainly, to begin with, when we got together, we were really concerned that it’s ridiculous to get into a relationship when there’s a possible seven years of working together, but it’s been nothing but lovely, so I hope it carries on as thus.”
When it comes to wedding planning, the English actor is hands-off.
“I wouldn’t know because I haven’t done any yet,” he laughs.
One mystery still boggles his mind when it comes to women.
“Why they can’t get ready quicker,” he says, adding that he himself would like to learn how to get ready quicker, and maybe Cosmopolitan can help.
Pick up the OK! on newsstands now to find out more about Stephen and Anna’s relationship. The cover line is “Dancing With The Stars Showdown.”

GIve them a couple more months AFTER they get married and they see how it REALLY is.
Nice couple, these Hollywood things are tough. Hopefully it doesn’t end in true blood.
They’ve been living together around two years, they probably have a really good idea already.
They have already been together for three years, so I’m sure they already know everything there is to know about each other. They obviously like what they know and they seem very much in love and very happy together and I am very happy for them. They are a gorgeous couple.
They are such an attractive couple.. .Some Hollywood marriages have worked. My favorite is Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward.. They steered clear of the Hollywood scene, and I believe she gave up some great roles to raise her children. (Still winning an Oscar for 3 Faces of Eve.)
This couple has a hard row to hoe: His family and friends are in London. Hers are in New Zealand. I don’t know how much support they have in the LA/Venice area – that is REAL friends, not friends because they are stars. SM has been around the block, has 2 children, and is older. AP is still pretty young, and has so much ahead of her. There’s no way to tell, I realize, I just hope they give each other the time and energy that gives marriage a chance.
they started datin from the filming of the pilot of true blood in 2007 not 2008 as this article says. they have mentioned this many times (stephen moyer’s interview on chelsea lately, regis and kelly etc). when i 1st heard they were together i gave them 6mths……………3yrs later and they r still going strong. yeah so they have strains like his baggage (who DOESNT have baggage) their opposite nationalities, age etc, the real strain will b when true blood finishes for good
but i really do hope they stay together for good. watching them on comic con 2010 really cracked me up. i love how un-hollywood they are and how although they have to do press stuff cos of their jobs they dont throw themselves at the spotlight 24/7. they are the complete opposites to brad/angelina, katie/peter, posh/becks and i admire them for this………oh and anna has lived in the states (new york) since 2000 or before and in venice, LA since true blood started so i dont think she’s have many true friends left in new zealand now
