Taylor Swift on Third Album: “These Songs Are Open Letters”

Taylor SwiftTaylor Swift has announced a release date for her third album, Speak Now, a record the Grammy winner says is her way of telling her loved ones exactly how she feels about them.

Speak Now contains 14 tracks, all written solely by Taylor. Set to be released on Oct. 25, the first single will be released on Aug. 16.

“Saying the right thing at the right moment is so crucial that most of us start to hesitate, for fear of saying the wrong thing at the wrong time,” Taylor says.

“But lately what I’ve begun to fear more than that is letting the moment pass without saying anything.

“These songs are made up of words I didn’t say when the moment was right in front of me. These songs are open letters. Each is written with a specific person in mind, telling them what I meant to tell them in person.”

Speak Now will be available for special pre-sale on the site SpeakNow13.com from Aug. 20.

    sounds like she will put out another whiney whoas me record again. It is all about her. She is a suck*** singer in my opinion. Not sure if most people that like her are tone deaf or what. Just have to see her once live in concert to know she cannot sing at all!!

      I think she writes catchy, pop-ish songs but you are correct. Vocally she has very little talent. I think to make it today as a singer you only need to be moderately talented and attractive.
