'American Idol' Contestant Chris Medina Sent Home, Jennifer Lopez Weeps

American Idol hit a somber note last night as fan favorite Chris Medina was sent packing. Jennifer Lopez sobbed along with the rest of viewers who were moved by his heart-breaking story. Find out more after the jump!

As for his back story, Chris has shared the heart-breaking tale of his fiancé Juliana. She was in a life-changing car crash prior to their wedding in 2009. Unfortunately, Juliana experienced severe brain damage and is now confined to a wheelchair to the point where she requires around the clock care from Chris and her mother.

Business is business, unfortunately as the judges had to put emotions aside as they heard the final 63 contestants perform in Vegas. According to The Daily Mail, Jennifer sobbed, "I don't want to do this anymore," as fellow judges Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson comforted her.

After telling Chris that it was a blessing she met him, Jennifer added, "I just feel like I didn't tell him in the right way. I feel so bad. I don't want to do this anymore...I can't."
