I’m running late, but I committed to this blog so Day 2, I’m going to continue to follow through ;)   Like I mentioned yesterday, last night I attended the Blackberry Storm event at Avalon. The ‘secret surprise guest’ was John Mayer. As luck would have it as I was chatting with a friend while slowly walking down the red carpet to the entrance I was blinded by the light of flashing cameras. Knowing the attention was not for me, I turned to see Mr. John Mayer solo behind me. Dressed in all black John had a jovial/devious smile and his usual air of mysterious smugness. Sometimes John dashes for the door but on this occasion he posed for the cameras (like a boy paid to be there) and even took the digital recorder out of the hand of a reporter on the red carpet and broke into a rendition of  Stevie Wonder’s “Love’s In Need Of Love Today,” which he dedicated to Obama. Talk about having a front row seat, he was barely inches away from me! The performance was indeed entertaining - although also proved a perfect distraction to avoid any questions regarding his relationship with Jen Aniston. Inside he was decidingly more boring as he sat at a table with two male friends in the neighboring and attached Bardot (kind of like Avalon’s VIP venue) sipping a Corona.

Elsewhere pre-Foo Fighters performance I saw 14lb. 90210 star Annalynne McCord wandering around the room grabbing and devouring hors devours  -um, where does it goes? After the rock show I ran into High School Musical star Bart Johnson, who plays Coach, and ended up staying until I turned into a pumpkin just before midnight. Bart, (who also happens to be married to Blake Lively's sister, making him her brother-in-law) told me about a trip he recently made for California to Mexico, on foot, for a documentary. More on that adventure later. I just drank a Transphusion Energy drink (1/4 of one) in anticipation of going to the gym and if I don’t get there fast and run off the 8334% of Vitamin B12 it contains I may jump out of my skin. Also gotta get to the gym before I go to my second blackberry part of the week, this one for the Blackberry Bold – where they’re expecting stars from Eva Longoria to Eric Dane ;) xo
