Hi Everyone!
So I wanted to take a minute to talk a little bit about the segment from Monday where I talked about growing up with a club foot. Yesterday I was so excited about my perfect 30 score that I didn't get a chance to talk about it.
I want to say that it’s part of who I am. I try not to think about it and let it be a barrier. Even with my skating—it’s not like I thought about it, like ‘I overcame this, it’s going to be more difficult.’ I just kind of pushed through it.
I guess my mom would be better to ask [but] I guess just learning to walk and crawl with casts on [was hard]. Actually, I do remember having corrective shoes with the brace in between them and walking around the house and sliding all over the floor and just having sore legs all the time. I don’t know—maybe it made me stronger.
On another serious note, not having Marlee around at the show is going to be hard. She was always such a positive spirit to be around, such a funny kind and generous lady. I can’t believe she won’t be there on Monday. I admire Marlee for being such an inspiration to me personally because she manages to balance her work with motherhood. We usually had our post Monday show dinners at the same restaurant, and I enjoyed seeing Marlee and her family there. I will miss her.
Well, I'm looking forward to next week's challenge- two dances in one week!!

Hey guys!
So I got a perfect 30 last night! It was my first one so far and I couldn't appreciate it any more than I do, especially because I got it during the jive competition. That was a huge compliment from Carrie Ann. Len [Goodman] said yum, yum. It was a buffet. I’m glad he appreciates some of the tricks Mark [Ballas, dance partner] put in there. It caused a lot of anxiety in rehearsal. I want to thank the judges for the tens. I love it!
The jive was amazing. I think Mark and I were both really nervous but once the music started, it was like boom! It’s a high energy song. I’ve never had so much fun dancing as I did.
I think just the energy of the jive is the best. I think we’ve been so serious the past few weeks that just to break out of it and be like YEAH! I think I actually yelled during the dance at one point, like whooo! I felt like it was a party.
Next week, if I make it through, we’ll have to perform two dances. It will mean much longer hours. I don’t know! We’ll do the best we can.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Hi guys!
Hope you had a great weekend! I was at the Tiger Jam. It’s Tiger Woods’ annual charity benefit and he invited us to come and perform. It was such a huge honor for us to go and so much fun! Tiger does such amazing things in the community, so to be able to go out there and support him is a great.
So as you know, we have the jive tonight. It’s so fast-paced – such a drastic change from the last month! I feel like I should’ve asked the kid dancers for more tips! I am excited to do it though since I’ve been looking forward to a higher energy, fun dance to just go crazy with!
Wish us luck! See you tonight!

Hi everyone!
We’re safe! Thank you so much for voting! Tuesdays aren’t fun, but it’s nice being the first one named safe!
I was so honored to get the encore! It was fun doing the dance again just for the sake of dancing. It was more relaxed for sure. We both love the dance and the song and to be able to do it again in this ballroom? We felt great that the judges invited us to do that.
One thing I didn’t like was that I had to dance in the lavender costume again! I’m not going to lie, it’s not my favorite outfit! It’s Mark’s favorite outfit! I feel beautiful in it, but like I told Mark, I thought I was showing too much skin. I didn’t want to show my tummy!
I’m going to miss Priscilla [Presley] so much. The longer this cast is in it together, the closer we all get, so to see someone leave is difficult. We’ve gotten to know Priscilla very well and she brings such grace and class to the dance floor and backstage, so it’s sad. She’s an inspiration to all of us — to watch her go out and go for it. She and Louis [van Amstel] brought an element of sophistication to the dance floor. They were so sultry and the two of them had great chemistry.
Next week we have the jive. Mark says it will be lots of kicks, leg action and speed. I don’t drink coffee, but I think I might start for the caffeine!
Time to get crackin’!
Talk to you soon!
