Laurence Fishburne Joins Cast of CSI

Calling all CSI: Crime Scene Investigation fans! Oscar nominee Laurence Fishburne is headed to a small screen near you. Starting in the ninth episode of this season, Laurence will play a former pathologist now teaching college criminalistics. After a murder investigation, his character will become involved with the CSI team and ultimately joins them in the Las Vegas Crime Lab.

"CBS asked us, 'Who's at the top of your dream list?' say CSI executive producers Carol Mendelsohn and Naren Shankar.  "Without hesitation, we said Laurence Fishburne. He is a powerful and intense actor, with an incredible range."
