Queen Latifah was welcomed into the industry when she released her first single at the young teen age of 17. She was soon recognized as one of the first leading women in rap, cultivating hip-hop history. From singing, Queen Latifah looked further and fell into acting making her into not only a Grammy Winner but and Oscar Nominated celebrity. Queen Latifah had her own sitcom entitled Living Single, where after she starred in Life Support, Hairspray, and her most famous role in the movie-musical Chicago. Today she is the spokesperson for CoverGirl cosmetics and Jenny Craig. The Jersey girl is also a strong philanthropist and activist who pushes for equality in al beauty.
