Michael Jackson was never one to skimp on the glitz when it came to his in-concert costumes, and OK! has learned that the King of Pop paid top-dollar on a new pair of custom-made glittery gloves for his planned 50-night stand in London later this summer.
According to a source close to the tour, Michael commissioned Erickson Beamon to create a pair of crystal-encrusted gloves for his famous fingers — at a price of $2,500!
The source tells OK! that the music legend was very "hands-on" in the design of the handwear. "Michael knew exactly what he wanted," says the source. "He said he wanted them to sparkle."

The gloves were delivered to Michael in May, and the singer was so taken with the finished product that our source says he met with Erickson Beamon the day before his tragic death to discuss crafting even more glittery gear for the stage show.
