But don't weep for Ben because he was named the fifth highest paid actor in Hollywood by Forbes magazine this year raking in $33 million between July 2011 and July 2012.
The stunning five-bedroom duplex is on Riverside Drive on the Upper West Side and boasts "glorious river views."
The pre-war building features a "sun-flooded" living room, a modern custom kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a media room where the family surely watched the Zoolander star's latest releases.
On the lower level of the home, prospective buyers will be treated to the master suite, additional bedrooms and a large central staircase that connects the two floors. Several of the bedrooms are still decorated in the designs enjoyed by their children; Ella, 10, and Quinlin, seven.
The couple have a few other options of places to stay as they also own a family home in Studio City, California and a paradise pad in Kilauea, Hawaii which they bought for $8.5 million in 2002.
