Brandi Favre, Brett Favre's Sister, Arrested in Alleged Meth Bust
Life isn't getting any for Brett Favre and his family. New reports are coming out that Brett's sister, Brandi Favre, was one of five people arrested on Wednesday at an alleged meth laboratory in Diamondhead, Miss.
According to the Mississippi television station WLOX-TV (via The New York Daily News), Hancock County authorities witnessed a drug buy at a gas station and questioned several suspects. The suspects then led authorities to an alleged meth lab in a condominium complex and arrested five people, including Brandi.
Before the suspects were taken to jail, they were brought to a medical center for decontamination. Toxic chemicals were reportedly removed from the condominium by a hazardous materials team.
Officials have not said if charges were made against Brandi or the others or what they may be.
In 1999, Brett's sister was charged with felony shoplifting and in 1996 she was charged with unlawful use of a weapon in connection to a drive-by shooting at a motel. But Brandi finished a program that allowed her criminal charges to be cleared from her record at that time.
As for Brett, he's suggested he won't be returning to the NFL for the 2011 season. He paid a $50,000 fine for not cooperating with the NFL's investigation into Jenn Sterger's allegations and now two other women have filed sexual harassment lawsuits against him this month.
