Charlie Sheen Donates $1 Million to the United Service Organization
Charlie Sheen has made a big announcement and let's just say it's a good one!
Yesterday the Anger Management star indicated he will donate one percent of the profits from his show to the United Service Organization (USO). The USO provides programs and services to U.S. troops and their families.
GossipCop reports he has guaranteed a donation of at least $1 million, making him the largest contributor to the nonprofit organization.
And consider this: If his show does really well, the amount could easily surpass the million bucks. The first installment of $250,000 will be presented in a ceremony later on this week.
In a statement, Charlie indicated, "It's an honor for me to be able to give back to these men and women of the military who have done so much for all of us."
He added, "They put their lives on the line for us every day, and I'm just happy that my work on Anger Management can bring a little bit of relief to the troops and their families.
Way to go, Charlie!
