Chaz Bono & Fiancée Jennifer Elia Are 'No Longer a Couple,' Rep Says
Chaz Bono and his fiancée, Jennifer Elia, have called off their wedding — and their relationship.
The Dancing With the Stars contestant had been dating Jennifer since 2005.
A rep for Chaz told The New York Daily News that the two are "no longer a couple."
But it sounds like they will remain friends.
"They leave this relationship with great love, respect and affection toward one another," the rep added. "No further amplification will be forthcoming, and they ask that you respect their privacy at this time."
Chaz and Jennifer had a long engagement, and Chaz previously explained to Piers Morgan on Piers Morgan Tonight why they "put things on hold a little bit."
"Not to make excuses, but we went through a lot. I transitioned. She went to grad school. Then, you know, we were making the film. And I wrote the book," he explained of his gender-reassignment surgery. "I feel like once this is over, we can sit down and plan a wedding."
After the announcement of their split, Chaz took to his Twitter to reassure his fans he's doing "fine."
"Thanks for your concern about our separation," he wrote. "I'm doing fine, and we remain on good terms with nothing but respect and affection 4 eachother"
