Chris Brown's Rep Releases Statement on Drake Attack: "Chris is the Victim"
As we reported earlier, Chris Brown got into a bar brawl last night at NYC hot spot W.I.P.
Rumors circulated R&B star Drake was involved, and that members of his entourage started throwing bottles and glass at around 3:50 a.m.
Chris Tweeted (and then deleted) a message alluding to the fact he'd been hit with a bottle, and then uploaded a picture of his gashed chin.
As legend goes, Drake and Rihanna hooked up, which caused a wave of jealousy and verbal attacks between Chris and Drake. Well, if the singer's rep is to be believed, Chris, girlfriend Karrueche Tran and a group of his friends were "victims" of a "brutal attack" and all parties "sustained several injuries."
They've allegedly gotten the NYPD involved, and hope to prove Drake's crew were the assailants in the late night glass storm, not the other way around.
For his part, Drake's rep insists the Canadian performer "did not participate in any wrongdoing of any kind" and "was on his way out of the club when the altercation began."
