Christie Brinkley and Peter Cook's Custody War Rages On
It looks like this nasty custody case isn't going to get nicer any time soon. Christie Brinkley and ex-husband Peter Cook appeared in court on Friday, and it was business (i.e., cattiness) as usual, according to ABC News.
Christie decided to approach Peter's new wife, Suzanne Shaw, and say, "When you find out he's been cheating on you, I'll be here for you."
Aw. Yeah, somehow, we're not convinced that was a display of sisterhood. Suzanne responded by saying, "Come up with a new line."
"The new wife would have been well advised to keep her mouth shut and stay classy as we say," said ABC Consultant and publicist Howard Bragman. "I think it would have helped her image as opposed to getting in the gutter, and that would have made Christie look like the one in the gutter."
We think it's too late for pretty much anyone involved in this mess to stay out of the gutter. Unfortunately, at the center off all this arguing is the one child Christie and Peter had together during their 10-year marriage, 14-year-old Sailor, and Christie's 17-year-old son from a previous marriage, Jack, whom Peter adopted while married to Christie.
