Things got a bit heated at Lindsay Lohan's Beverly Hills home on Friday after police were called when her father Michael Lohan tried to stage an intervention, according to reports.

The troubled 25-year-old actress apparently did not show up to complete post-production work on her upcoming movie, The Canyons, leading some to believe she may have fallen off the wagon.

Michael and other members of her team are all said to be on board with trying to get Lindsay to seek treatment for her perceived issues.

It's reported that Lindsay was home when her dad arrived but someone claiming to be her boyfriend told him to leave and later said that any problems the Liz & Dick star has would not be solved by Michael who she has had a rocky relationship with over the years.

Police responded to a trespassing call and are investigating.

"Lindsay doesn't want her dad anywhere near her right now," a source told RadarOnline.

"And Michael's always trying to put himself in the middle of whatever is going on in her life. He's been worried about her ever since the fight she had with Dina last week."

Just earlier this month, Michael released audio of Lindsay during her now infamous argument with her mom Dina following a mother-daughter night out in New York City.

Lindsay had claimed on the call that her mother was on cocaine but later backtracked and was angry at her dad for making the tape public and denied Dina was on drugs.
