Corey Haim's Mother in 911 Call: "I Think My Son is Dead"
The heart-wrenching phone call Judy Haim made to 911 on March 10 after her son Corey Haim became unresponsive has been released. In the call, the emergency dispatcher has Judy attempt CPR on her son. "I think my son is dead," she cries during the call. Corey was laid to rest today in Ontario, Canada.
L.A. officials have released the audio, which details the scene as Judy tried to save her son early in the morning hours of that fateful day. WARNING: The call is quite upsetting.
"Oh my god, I think my son is dead, what's going on?" she says in the call. "Listen, he's not breathing… He's 38 years old, I don't know what's going on. He had a fever this morning and cold. Core! Get up! Core, please get up… What's going on... He's completely, completely gone."
After the dispatcher asks if Corey is still breathing, to which he says no, he's not, he then gives her instructions on how to give him CPR on the floor.
"I'm doing it but he's not breathing... I don't know if I'm doing this right... I am pressing but he's not moving. He's not moving," Judy exclaims, pleading all the while with her son to breathe. "He all of a sudden got out of bed. He wanted to go to the bathroom and he fell on the floor and I put him on the bed and then that was it. His eyes went backwards. Oh my god. Core! What's happening?"
Corey was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead around 3 a.m. that morning.
Toxicology results from his autopsy have yet to be released. Corey was laid to rest today in a private funeral in Thornhill, Ontario in Canada.
