Estella Warren Lucks Out with No Jail Time on DUI Charges But Says She's Taking Additional "Consequences Very Seriously"
Estella Warren tried to escape from the police when she was arrested and charged with a DUI after crashing her Prius in May, but after recently striking a deal for no jail time, the Planet of the Apes actress recognized the gravity of the situation in a new statement obtained by OK! and promised to clean up her act.
"I take my actions and their consequences very seriously. I can't express enough how grateful I am that no one was injured or hurt,” the actress told OK! in a statement on Friday via her rep of the aftermath of her accident.
TMZ reports that Estella, 32, plead guilty to DUI charges this week in court in return for probation, a little more than $1,000 in fines and court-ordered alcohol class.
After lucking out with no time behind bars, the Sports Illustrated model wants to better herself in the future.
“Moving forward I am focusing all my efforts on my career, my family and being a good influence to others,” Estella added.
Estella is currently filming Manson Girls, due out in 2012, alongside Eric Balfour and Tayrn Manning.
