Gene Simmons from KISS Sets Wedding Date After 28 Year Relationship
Always a bridesmaid, never a bride? For Shannon Tweed, the girlfriend of KISS frontman Gene Simmons for 28 years, it's better late than never. Gene popped the question on the finale of their reality show last spring and the couple has officially set a wedding date to tie the knot this fall.
According to Entertainment Tonight (via the Daily Mail), they'll walk down the aisle on October 1 at the Beverly Hills Hotel. The 54 year-old Shannon and 62 year-old Gene met in 1984 and began living together the next year. They have two children together, 22 year-old Nick and 19 year-old Sophie.
If all of their names sound familiar that's because they star in the reality show on A&E, Gene Simmons Family Jewels. Last season the finale highlighted the marriage proposal so the new season will showcase the preparation for their October wedding.
Prior to meeting each other in the '80s, they both had relationships with high profile names. Gene dated Cher and Diana Ross whereas Shannon, a former Playboy Playmate, dated Hugh Hefner!
