Italian Mayor Gives 'Jersey Shore' Cast Strict Rules for Filming
As the cast and crew of Jersey Shore, head over to Florence, Italy for Season 4 sometime next month, they'll have strict rules to abide by, as per specific intructions mandated by the mayor. Mamma Mia!
According to The New York Post (via PopEater), Matteo Renzi had a thing or two to say to a local newspaper about the upcoming arrival of Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino and crew.
Among the rules? The cast will not be filmed in bars and clubs that serve alcohol, the cast will not be filmed drinking in public and the show will not be filmed to promote Florence as a drinking town. Plus, he wants the show filmed in a way to promote Italy and feature it's culture and good food instead of an Americanized version of visiting his country.
While the mayor said he wouldn't stop MTV from using beautiful Florence scenery as a backdrop for the show, it will not be allowed to film inside any historic buildings. Despite the rules, something tells us the cast will find a way to entertain us and Jersey Shorify their Italian digs. Cabeesh?
