James Holmes Charged With 24 Counts of First Degree Murder
Crazed, Batman shooter, James Holmes, was formally charged with 24 counts of first degree murder today in an Aurora, Colo. courthouse.
Ten days after he sprayed three weapons full of ammunition on a crowded midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises, successfully killing 12 people and wounding 54 others, the prosecution has 60 days before they decide if they'll seek the death sentence.
His hair still dyed the ominous orange, pink shade and outfitted in a maroon jumpsuit, those present told ABC News he seemed dazed and expressionless during the hearing.
In punishment for the largest mass shooting in US history, he was also charged with 116 counts of attempted first degree murder, one count of possessing an explosive device and one count of violent crime.
