Jim Carrey became a grandpa on Friday night when his daughter Jane had her first baby with rocker husband Alex Santana.
Jane's son Jackson Riley Santana was born at 12:28 a.m. in Los Angeles, weighing 7 pounds, 11 ounces and measuring 20 inches long, E! News reports.

He Tweeted a photo of the newborn, with the note: "Jackson Riley Santana, My Grandson, Born today! This is what 7lbs.11oz. of California dynomite looks like!"

Jim announced that he was about to be a grandfather in July saying, "I am very excited. Jane is going to be a great mom."
Jane and Alex, both lead singers in their respective rock bands, tied the knot in November. Jane is Jim's daughter with his first wife Melissa Womer.
