Joe Jonas Swears Taylor Swift's New Breakup Song Is Not About Him
The country starlet is known for baring her soul, and relationship details, in her music and new track We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together is no different.
However one ex, Joe Jonas, has spoken out to say that he is confident this new ditty is not about him.
"I can say it's not about me, because I don't think we've ever tried another time," Joe told 94.7 Fresh FM about their 2008 breakup.
"I like the song. I think the song is great. Taylor does pop music really well and I'm happy for her. I think we're cool. It's pretty years removed."
Taylor, 22, has not revealed who the song is about but gave details on how the track came together while working with producers Max Martin and John Shellback.
"[My friend] starts talking about how he's heard [my ex and I] were getting back together and that was not the case," the blond beauty shares in a clip announcing her Red album.
"When he leaves, Max and Johan are like, 'So what's the story behind that?' And so I start telling them the story of 'break up, get back together, break up, get back together,' just ugh, the worst."
