"Shannon Woodward is my best friend," Katy said in a statement. "A couple weeks ago, I was home, just toasting up a frozen chicken fillet when she called me up and asked if I wanted to do something ‘fun' for a change and try out a guest role on her TV show. I thought, ‘Sure, I have nothing else to do, and I like chillin' with my best friend.' "
Katy will play Rikki, a not-so-attractive prison guard — check out the photo Katy Tweeted — who looks after Sabrina (Shannon) after she's locked up in jail for two weeks following her involvement in a protest. Rikki claims that she knows Sabrina from their past and tries her best to make her "friend's" prison stay miserable. (This should be interesting.) OK! NEWS: RUSSELL BRAND WOOING KATY PERRY LOOK-ALIKE ZOOEY DESCHANEL! "Creator Greg Garcia was nice, but I hope he's not secretly sabotaging my potential future career by typecasting me in the role of just a looker so that I would never be able to play anything more challenging," Katy said, sarcastically. Make sure to catch her appearance on Raising Hope March 6!
