Kristin Chenoweth Not Returning To 'The Good Wife' After On-Set Injury
Kristin Chenoweth has announced that she is quitting the hit CBS show The Good Wife after sustaining a serious injury during filming in New York last month.
The diminutive actress, 44, was hit by a piece of falling lighting equipment and was rushed to a hospital on July 11. She was released the next day and continues to convalesce at home.
"It is with deep regret to inform everyone that due to my injuries, I am unable to return to The Good Wife," Chenoweth said in a statement.
"[I'm] getting better slowly, and thank you everyone for your concern."
Kristin has kept fans updated on her progress and Tweeted last week that she was having a challenging day.
"Today not best "pain" day. Remaining positive. (I think)," she wrote on Aug. 8.
Kristin has had an illustrious career thus far, including picking up Tony and Emmy awards for her work.
We wish you a speedy recovery, Kristin!
