Lady Gaga: I've Put On 25 Pounds Because Of Dad's Pasta And Pizza
But instead of rushing to get back down to a size zero, the Bad Romance singer is embracing her new shape and has revealed the culinary delights she has been tucking into that led to an increased number on her scale.
"I love eating pasta and pizza," Gaga told radio host Elvis Duran. "I'm a New York Italian girl. That's why I have been staying out of New York."
"My father [Joe Germanotta] opened a restaurant. It's so amazing… it's so freaking delicious, but I'm telling you I gain five pounds every time I go there.
"So my dad wants me to eat at the restaurant, and I'm like, 'I've got to go where I can drink green juice.'"
The 26-year-old was on stage in Amsterdam this week wearing a revealing fish-net outfit that displayed her additional 25 pounds that she admitted to putting on.
"I really don't feel bad about it, not even for a second," she said about doing the cardinal celebrity sin of putting on weight.
"It's hard because I have a vigorous show, so I tend to bulk up, get muscular, and I really don't like that. So I'm trying to find a new balance.
Gaga admitted that she was "dieting right now, because I gained, like, 25 pounds."
