Liam Hemsworth Loves Miley Cyrus' Southern Roots: "It Reminds Me of Australia"
Liam Hemsworth might be all muscle and lean limbs on film, but on his off-time the Hunger Games actor enjoys indulging in food that any nutritionist would call sinful.
"When I’m in New York, all I can think about is pepperoni pizza," he told the July issue of InStyle. "I love the New York-style thin crust. I don’t cook that much anymore, but I like doing stir-fry and pastas, or I’ll coat shrimp with shredded coconut and fry them in coconut oil."
Which is a big reason why the Aussie heartthrob loves Miley Cyrus's deep Southern roots, telling the magazine "Southern accents" are his favorite thing about the states.
"Whenever I go to Nashville or am around my fiancée’s family, I just end up talking like them," he said. "I love the South in general. There’s a lot of deep-fried food, and the people really remind me of Australians — very laid back."
Miley, he says, never takes life too seriously, and that has inspired him to have a lighter outlook.
"She’s extremely happy and has a sense of humor about life. Happy, positive, fun — those qualities are good in anyone."
The duo announced their engagement last month and since then Miley has traveled with the actor to various locations, most recently Philadelphia, where he's shooting the thriller Paranoia.
However, the Hannah Montana star apparently let her hair down early Tuesday in the Big Apple — the underage star reportedly was seen gulping down Patrón shots and dancing suggestively with other women at Dream nightclub.
"She loves New York," a friend told The New York Daily News of Miley's wild antics.
